VISION

The Department envisions its teaching, research and extension services with a view of repositioning agriculture through producing agriculturists with entrepreneurial skills for self-employment in agricultural enterprises.

OBJECTIVES

The Department of Plant Health Management strives to be a network of Lecturers, staff, and students that create a culture of excellence resulting in the training of agricultural personal with sufficient skills to work as consultants on issues related to weed management strategies, pests and disease monitoring and control. The Department provides exciting yet scientifically, agriculturally, and environmentally relevant research experience and training as part of undergraduate and graduate instruction from a Faculty of nationally and internationally recognized scholars who contemplate our science from a global perspective.
